Terms of service

The terms on which you may use this site and send us an enquiry. Last updated 25 October 2026.

1. Who you are agreeing with

This site is operated by SHURVEDA CHEM SPECIALITIES LLP, trading as Shurveda, a limited liability partnership registered in India at Office No.317, Sai Arcade, N.S. Road, Mulund (West), Mumbai - 400080, India, GSTIN 27AFTFS0333Q1Z8. In these terms “we” and “us” mean that partnership, and “you” means whoever is using the site.

By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not, please stop using it.

2. This is a trade catalogue, not a shop

The site is for businesses buying industrial and specialty chemicals. It is not intended for consumers, and nothing here is an offer to sell to the general public.

No price is published and nothing can be ordered here. Every grade is quoted per enquiry, because the price depends on quantity, destination, packing and the date. What the catalogue tells you is that we can supply a grade, and how it is identified. It does not tell you what it costs or that it is in stock.

Sending an enquiry is not placing an order, and our reply is not an acceptance of one. A sale happens only when we issue a quotation, you accept it in writing and we confirm.

We do not currently publish a separate set of conditions of sale. Until we do, a supply is governed by the terms set out in the quotation we issue and that you accept — so read the quotation, because that is the contract, not this page.

3. Specifications are typical values

The purity, grade and packing shown for each product, and any specification we give you with a quotation, are typical values from our usual production. They describe what we normally supply. They are not a warranty of suitability for your particular use, and no certificate of analysis is implied by them — the certificate that governs a consignment is the one issued with that consignment.

Deciding whether a grade is fit for your process, your formulation or your regulatory filing is your job, not ours. Ask us for a sample and a current certificate of analysis before you commit to anything.

4. Handling, hazards and regulatory compliance

Many of these products are hazardous. The hazard notes and export-control notes on a product page are a summary for a buyer deciding whether to enquire. They are not a safety data sheet and they are not a substitute for reading one. Ask us for the current SDS for any grade before you handle, store or ship it.

You are responsible for import licensing, customs classification, end-use declarations, registration and any restriction applying in your own country. An HS code shown here is our understanding and is not advice to your customs broker.

Some grades cannot be supplied to some destinations, whether for export-control, licensing or commercial reasons. The enquiry form refuses a destination we cannot supply rather than taking an enquiry we could not act on, and we may decline any enquiry for a reason of that kind.

5. Using the site properly

You agree not to:

  • submit false details, or send an enquiry on behalf of someone who has not asked you to;
  • send automated submissions through the enquiry form, or try to get round its rate limiting;
  • scrape, copy or reproduce the catalogue as a dataset, or republish it as your own;
  • upload anything containing malware, or anything you have no right to send us;
  • try to reach the admin area, or any file not published for visitors, without authorisation.

We may refuse service, block an address or remove an enquiry if any of this happens.

6. What you send us

You may attach one PDF to an enquiry. By attaching it you confirm you are entitled to send it to us, and you give us permission to use it for the purpose of quoting — nothing else. We treat it as confidential, store it where only our staff can reach it and do not pass it on. If you need a non-disclosure agreement in place first, ask before attaching anything.

What we do with the rest of what you send is set out in our privacy policy.

7. Our content

The text, photographs, product data and design of this site belong to us or to our licensors. You may read it, print it and quote from it for the purpose of evaluating us as a supplier. You may not republish it, sell it or build a competing catalogue from it.

Product names, CAS numbers and HS codes are factual references and are used descriptively. Any third-party trade mark mentioned belongs to its owner.

8. Availability

We try to keep the site up and the catalogue accurate, but we do not promise it will be available without interruption or free of error. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it, including any product listing, at any time. A product withdrawn from the catalogue stays referenced by any enquiry already sent about it.

9. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, and for anything else the law does not allow us to exclude.

Subject to that, this site is provided for information. We do not accept responsibility for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue or contracts, arising out of your use of the website itself — in particular for a decision taken on the strength of the typical values shown here, rather than on a quotation and a certificate of analysis issued for your consignment.

None of this affects your rights under a contract of supply between us. If we have quoted and you have accepted, that contract governs what we owe you, and this page does not cut it down.

10. Changes to these terms

We may revise these terms. The version in force is the one on this page when you use the site, and the date at the top says when it last changed.

11. Governing law and where disputes go

These terms, and any dispute about them or about your use of this site, are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Mumbai have jurisdiction.

If you are a buyer outside India, this does not take away any protection you have under the mandatory law of the country you are in, and it does not stop you raising a matter with a regulator there. We would far rather settle a disagreement by talking to you first — write to sales@shurveda.com and we will answer.

12. Contacting us

Write to sales@shurveda.com, or use the contact page. Formal notices should go to SHURVEDA CHEM SPECIALITIES LLP, Office No.317, Sai Arcade, N.S. Road, Mulund (West), Mumbai - 400080, India.
